About Us
RM Laser Dental is a family dental practice that welcomes patients of all ages. We are passionate in helping others achieve their optimal oral health, and we deliver value in each service we provide. We incorporate laser technology in our practice which enables us to provide gentler and minimally invasive treatments.
Our practice is centrally located in the heart of Maple Ridge, the far-east city of Metro Vancouver, British Columbia. Although most of our patients are from this city, many are from Pitt Meadows, Coquitlam, Langley, and Mission communities as well. We also have some families coming from Burnaby and Vancouver!
Founded in 1971 by Dr. Gary Machan, our practice was originally an integral part of a group of medical and dental professionals practicing at the then Selkirk Medical and Dental Centre in downtown Maple Ridge. In 2002, Dr. Machan retired and Dr. Marquez took over the practice. The practice grew over the years and to meet more demand for services from increasing number of patients, the office moved in May 2011 to the Flagship Professional Building, which is now its current location.
New Patients are Always Welcome
We are always delighted to have new patients! If you are interested to try our services, we would love to hear from you. On your first visit, you will be asked to complete a registration/medical history form. Our goal is to understand you – your dental needs and expectations, as well as your medical history that may impact the treatments we recommend.
Unless you have a specific dental concern that you would like to be addressed immediately, we advise that your initial visit be booked as a “New Patient” that involves cleaning your teeth and conducting a full dental examination and diagnosis. These are performed using factual evidence-based diagnostic tools such as digital x-rays and intraoral photographs and with the expertise of our highly skilled dental team. These steps are vital to enable us to effectively recommend a treatment plan that is comprehensive and unique to you!
