Preventative Dentistry
At RM Laser Dental, we practice a preventative approach to dentistry to reduce the amount of dental treatment required in the future and to maintain a healthy mouth. The two major causes of tooth loss are decay and gum disease. If we can help prevent these, there is a greater chance we can keep our teeth for life.
In addition to cleaning your teeth, our Dental Hygienist works as part of the dental team to help prevent and treat gum disease. She looks for signs of gum disease such as bleeding gums, tooth mobility, plaque & tartar deposits and bad breath. Following a consultation with your dentist, the hygienist will discuss your oral health, and provide you with an oral hygiene regimen to follow to help you maintain a good standard of oral health. We therefore encourage regular visits with our hygienist for optimal results.
Our preventative procedures include oral prophylaxis (removal of dental plaque, calculus, and intrinsic stains), fluoride varnish, dental examination and diagnosis, oral cancer screening, and treatments for bad breath and dry mouth.

Our many years of experience enable us to offer a wide variety of procedures to enhance your smile, from fillings and tooth whitening to full mouth reconstruction using Invisalign.
